Ledger Live is the official app for Ledger hardware wallets. Download it to initialize, restore, back up and exchange your crypto assets securely and easily.

To download and install Ledger Live, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Ledger Website: Go to ledger.com/live to find the Ledger Live download page.

  2. Select Your Operating System: Choose the appropriate version for your system (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Click the “Download” button to get the installer file.

  3. Run the Installer:

    • Windows/macOS: Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

    • Linux: You may need to use AppImageLauncher or specific terminal commands to install Ledger Live. Detailed instructions can be found on the Ledger Support page.

  4. Connect Your Ledger Device: Once installed, connect your Ledger hardware wallet (Ledger Nano S, Nano X, or Nano S Plus) to your computer using the provided USB cable.

  5. Set Up Ledger Live: Open Ledger Live and follow the setup instructions. You can create a new account or restore an existing one using your recovery phrase. You will also be prompted to set an optional password to enhance security.

  6. Install Apps on Your Device: Navigate to the "Manager" section within Ledger Live to install apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage.

For mobile devices, Ledger Live is available on both Android and iOS:

  • Android: Requires Android version 10 or above.

  • iOS: Requires iOS version 13 or above for basic functionality, but Bluetooth connectivity for Ledger Nano X requires iOS 14 or above.
